Sydney: Captain Cook’s Dinner Cruise Around Sydney Harbour

March 5, 2009

A few days ago, we all got together on the Captain Cook Evening Dinner Cruise.

This is the first Dinner of the trip which involved our whole travel group. We are (almost) all from Seattle and the surrounding area. Half the group did New Zealand by land and half did New Zealand on the Volendam (a Holland America ship).

Please ignore the tired, funny-looking gal (me) in the pink hat. I tried to get my husband to stop the click, but he didn’t realize that I had a mouthful of something and couldn’t smile. (You can laugh at me in this picture. I have a sense of humor.)

Well, there is no way to take a picture of Sydney Harbour that could be as beautiful as it is in real life. There is also no way to show how much fun our group had…and how tired we were on our dinner cruise.

Truth: My salmon was overcooked. My husband didn’t like the pasta. However, someone in our group said it was the best meal of the trip. I’ll have to find out which dish she had.

The Captain Cook Dinner Cruise Review: The cruise is spectacular, but I think you can get a better view of the harbor when the sun is out. Take the Captain Cook cruise during the day. I don’t know what you can get for lunch however I did not like my main course of salmon. Make sure that you tell your server that you don’t like your fish overcooked.
